In view of the upcoming Sarangani Bay Festival 2012, we are running a “Sarangani Beach Resort Series“. Read on.
Sarangani Province‘s white sand beaches have already earned a considerable amount of attention ever since the Adarna‘s opened their family-owned 4-km stretch of white sand beach property in Barangay Gumasa, Municipality of Glan about 10 years ago.
At the onset of the social media phenomenon however, photos and stories about the immaculately-white beach there started surfacing online rapidly, thus increasing awareness about their pristine waters and starting the steady stream of visitors in search for the “perfect” beach to the area.
Not a few say that the beaches of Gumasa are comparable to Boracay … which is still quite arguable but one thing is certain, however. There’s no stopping the fame of Sarangani’s white sand beach resorts and their rustic charms!
First off the bat is White Haven Beach Resort.
This establishment is the first of the three Adarna-family-owned white sand beach resorts in Gumasa, Glan. Located at the northern side of the 4-kilometer beach front, White Haven Beach Resort is a favorite of those who prefer a quiet and laidback vacation.

how to go there from microtel gen san ?
@ruby, from Microtel, take a tricycle to KCC Mall and go to the van terminal right across it. There are vans travelling to Glan there that leave hourly. Fare is around P60 or more. Enjoy Glan!
hey dave of UK my uncle chuck from CANADA a canadian have been here and he enjoyed every bit of the sand and heat of the sun include also the mouth watering food every resorts cater.. he’s even going back here this dec. and you know what?ur missing half of your life because u listen to hearsay.. i pity u.. try to find out first before u throw ur judgement. =)
well there is a reason that tourists from uk, usa and australia etc dont visit this reason…..we are told by our government it is a dangerous area, our travel insurance is invalid and we risk being kidnapped!!!!! some good reasons to stay away! perhaps if you had more european.americans commenting on how safe the place is, and how nice the beaches are, then more people would go! read this:- IT SAYS AVOID THE WHOILE AREA! http://www.fco.gov.uk/en/travel-and-living-abroad/travel-advice-by-country/asia-oceania/philippines
@dave, UK, well too bad you have been missing a lot. Try googling the place and check if there was any foreigner kidnapped here for the past 2-3 years or even longer. Your government is so trigger happy in churning out travel advisories left and right that it doesn’t matter to us anymore. Life goes on for us here. But if you can just come and visit, I myself will make sure you have a great time there.
Well, Dave of UK, I am from Glan, Sarangani, and your government is just right in protecting their citizens. If my memory serves me right, sometime in 2004/2005, bandits or maybe Abu Sayyaf tried to kidnap a Japanese national who was having a bundle of cash with him. A visiting Filipino/American was shot dead as he was trying to protect his Japanese friend and some were wounded, although almost all of the bandits were killed and some escaped.
DAVE DONT BELIEVE YOUR OWN GOVT – THERE ARE KIDNAPPER IN USA AND UK TOO
all the beaches in saranggani is truly beautyful and amazing,so relaxing,we wish that the leaders of the said province will do their best to help and promote and develop coz really its nice and it will really attract locals and tourist to spend their free time to relax and have fun on the beach,..

sana madevelop ito just like in boracay in aclan,,sbra gnda tlga di plng nadiscover sa buong mundo,,,kulang lng xa ng mga hotels and bars….it must be a breathtaking view of sarangani….
@70 pesos entrance fee medyo may kamahalan, in Boracay its totally free, other fees such as room accomodations halos the same, dapat seguro mas mura muna to attract more tourist
P70 is nothing to a metro manila tourists
Gusto ko na bisitahin ang Glan!
