I was joyriding onboard my partner’s motorbike the other night when I saw a streamer along the corner of Lagao National Highway and Tiongson Street, which caught my eye.
Hey! It’s an announcement about an upcoming branch of Mercury Drug!
The following day, I went back to the same place and took these pictures.
Now people from this side of GenSan wouldn’t have to go far downtown to buy their medicines and other needs. Mercury Drug – Lagao will soon be here.
I just hope it will have a walk-in mini-grocery just like their Pedro Acharon Branch. And let it open 24 hours!
Now that would be great for Lagao’s burgeoning night life since Lagao has a string of bars and restaurants along its main roads.
Mercury Drug will now have three outlets in GenSan: P. Acharon, Pioneer and Lagao National Highway.
[…] Mercury Drug North National Highway which we blogged in an earlier post months back will finally be open to the public effective tomorrow, October 18, 2010! This is the sixth Mercury Drug outlet in General Santos City after the latest which was their Mercury Drug Lagao Branch. […]
[…] first five branches are located at Pioneer Avenue, Pedro Acharon Sr. Boulevard, Santiago Boulevard, Jose Catolico Avenue Lagao and Robinsons […]

I hope Mercury Drug will also find ways to put a branch in Calumpang Area. We have a lot of small Drugstores in Calumpang but all generics med. only and very costly.
upon seeing the picture I remember the place eto ba yun dati “The good sheperd children house” its a nursery school during 1994-95
Iba na talaga ang Gensan! More investors will be coming to this city. Go..go Gensan!

This is good news especially for people of lagao, katangawan, buayan and other places nearby. . . now they will have a choice where to buy cheaper meds compared to others dyan banda.. .
this spells BOOM with a capital “B” for barangay lagao!
ormans last blog post..Sulat ni Nanay at Tatay
Hi Avel. There has been a Mercury Drug outlet along Santiago Blvd. this Lagao outlet will be the 4th as far as I know. Lagao will almost be a separate city. Now I can run for mayor! hahaha! Just kidding…
Mercury Drug made a right decision in acquirng a space in Lagao. Ang daming tao na dyan and I’m sure it would be a success. Lagao is becoming a busy area, now that Robinsons Place started their construction it’s a strategic moved made by Mercury. Im’ sure other business will follow in that place. Congrats to Mercury Drug!
Anu ba yaaannn…from the looks of it eh, parang ordinary botika sa kanto lang ang ilalagay nilang branch dyan eh…diba? maliit yong space sa may pinaka corner…pero choks na oi kesa sa wala.hehehe
Hi Kuya Avel, this is another great news! More business establishments rising up in Gensan means more employment opportunities for its constituents. Sana tuloy-tuloy na ang progress…
