regarding the telephone number of the Philippine National Red Cross – General Santos City Chapter… the number is local (083)552-4323…
Im currently a nurse volunteer in the department… hehehe.. so if there are inquiries and emergency stuff… try calling that number…
The best thing to do is to have city residence id at least to know who lives in & visitor of Gensan. Akala ko may Camera na nakapalibot within the city so that to monitor the flow & identify something wrong. Any exit point of Gensan to put up the Gate and verify the id. I know its impossible but terrorist teach us to be more vigilant & come up to ideas on how to protect our constituents…Kung pwede lng sanan ma monitor kung nasaan ang pamilya nila then kung may bomba well bombahin din family nila at least for them to feel how to lost their loveones…
Thanks Orman for correcting… 911 nga pala ang sa US… dito kasi sa amin 999… and I find it very effective.
Ang may desisyon to cancel the concert here in Gensan for the tunafest of gerald anderson, kim chiu and john lloyd cruz is the ABS-CBN TALENT CENTER. Walang magawa ang local gensan office nila. Haay na lang…. super unfair talga.
Nate Marx, let’s just be prepared for any eventuality. 🙂
Samara, hahaha! OA nga lang talga ang lahat! Super mega to the max OA na mga paninirang text messages. Basta wag na ipasa ang mga iyan. 🙂
Hi Noel. Will try to get the other numbers asap. Thanks. 🙂
Gensanite, i tried dialling 112 and i got a voiced message saying, “for emergency assistance, dial 911”. 🙂
Rhomer, i agree with you that we should not let our guards down. But I also believe that it takes two to tango… kaya on the road to peace, both parties should also sit down again.
Amen to that. Vigilance is the key in this kind of situation. Thanks ernan. 🙂
Parang di yata puede eh. Paano nga ba? Ngyeh! 🙂
baka you meant 911…
the moral of the story: wag ipasa ang mga lintik na text messages na yan. kung gusto nyong makatulong, ipasa ang message kasama ng number ng nag-text sa inyo sa mismong cellphone number ng CHIEF OF POLICE, si COL. ROBERT PO. hetong number nya: 09209140896
PAG GIPIT, GUDBAY SILA? ANO SILA, SINESWERTE?
boykot abs cbn!!!!

Baka pwede gawin nila uli yun. (kung di sila tinatamad! HEHEHE)
Enjoy life to the fullest.

@none_air.
Wala man gid mi alamag while nga klase mi sa skul. Although naa mi balita na gubot daw ang mindanao or red alert, we did not seriously mind it. Peaceful naman ang paligid. Not until my father called me. Though I wasn’t able to answer (meh klase), he texted later, nangangamusta sa Gensan. Red Alert daw. Uwi na daw ako. Tas I reasoned, I can’t. Meh klase pah. They were saying gyera na lagi.
I really don’t know how to regulate these false textmessages. Sabi pa ng media (and government)wag seryosohin. XD Forwarded messages sound fishy, kaya we don’t really mind them.

addendum:
just wondering… i heard that the emergency number that you dial in the mobile phone is “112”… if you dial this, who would pick-up?
(this may be a dumb question… please feel free to reply if you know the answer… this may come in handy…)
let’s continue to pray for peace in mindanao…
God bless us all… 🙂
Ssst. Manong Avel, anyone: paano tawagan via cellfone ang 3-digit na hotline number like 117 o 160?
Sana sama din nila nos. ng mga hospitals, Red Cross and Philippine Chinese Chamber of Commerce Fire Brigade d2 Gensan.
By the way, for us citizens, cleaning up and installing lights(at least 10watts)on our personal sorrounding areas will help coz minsan pag masukal or marumi at madilim ay madali ito gawin taguan ng mga criminal elements or pwede magtanim ng BOMBA!
Also, kopya natin mga Hotline numbers to a piece of paper and paste it near our landline phones and also, SAVE these nos. on our respective celphones.
P.S. Just make sure may load ang hi tech phones mo. Ehe he.
it is imperative that our police, arm forces and the people of gensan be very vigilant in these troubled time … do not let our guards down … civilian must cooperate when passing thru check points since it is for their own good.
let us not show mercy to these milf bastards dogs and eliminate them once and for all !
AT ISAWSAW SA VINEGAR AT ASIN..Lets help each other para gubot maiwasan.Be Vigilant!
