Since Dole Philippines, Inc. or Dolefil launched its 50th Anniversary celebrations in January this year, (READ POST HERE), there has been no letup in its series of events meant to drumbeat its turning Gold.
One of the grandest and most significant of these was Dolefil’s conduct of the Festival of Festivals on June 15, 2013 at the Polomolok Grandstand. The whole day affair started off with a Golden Float Parade which had different departments of the 50-year old company showing off their artistry and vision via their float entries commemorating the company’s milestone.
This was followed by the much-awaited Streetdancing Competition which pitted the best contingents from within SoCCSkSarGen.
Dolefil VP and Managing Director Simon Denye and HR Director Atty. Mel Hernandez had their hands full welcoming their guests from from the region (Congressman Jun Acharon, Congresswoman Daisy Avance Fuentes, among others) and from other parts of the world, mostly Dolefil bigwigs from their subsidiaries. In full force was a delegation from Itochu Corporation, the Japanese firm that acquired Dolefil late last year.
In between the performances of the different streetdancers in competition, were song numbers from YouTube sensation Zendee Rose Tenerefe whose elder sister works for Dolefil.
At the Variety shows later that afternoon and evening, singing talents Nyoy Volante, Juris and Jed Madela wowed the mostly Dolefil employed audience and their families while comedienne Kitkat brought down the house with her naughty antics.
The night was capped with grand fireworks that had everyone who witnessed it clapping and cheering all throughout the whole spectacle.
Here are more photos from that unforgettable day plus earlier events like the Ms. Dolefil Golden 2013 which will forever be etched in the memories of the Dolefil Family.
