Elevating the spirit of the event, it will feature renowned artists like the iconic Megastar Sharon Cuneta and the incomparable Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez. Joining the stellar lineup are OPM idols such as Ogie Alcasid, Jona, Klarisse, Bituin Escalante, and other gifted performers from ABS-CBN. This remarkable event is scheduled for 1 pm at the renowned Dolphy Theater within the ABS-CBN compound. This event follows the tremendous success of “Together4Teachers,” a Teachers’ Day celebration held on October 5 at the Father Saturnino Urios University in Butuan City, Caraga Region. This initiative was undertaken in collaboration with the Department of Education and Vice President Sara Duterte. Since its inception in 2007, Gabay Guro has been empowering teachers across the nation through its 8 Key Pillars of Learning, aligned with PLDT and Smart’s commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainability Development Goals (SDG), particularly UN SDG #4 Quality Education. These pillars include Scholarships, Connectivity and Computerization, Classroom Donations, Teachers’ Training, Livelihood, Digital Innovations, and Health and Wellness.
With a track record of more than 3,000 scholars pursuing a degree in education, over a thousand laptops and digital accessories provided to partner schools, 55 double classrooms donated to beneficiary cities and municipalities, and training for over 50,000 teachers, Gabay Guro continues to make significant contributions to the education sector. Additionally, it has given over 5,000 teachers access to various livelihood and entrepreneurship initiatives and launched the Gabay Guro Super App, which has already garnered over 100,000 downloads nationwide.
