SM City Gen. Santos powers up Mindanao Games Expo this weekend

As part of the celebration of its Technology Month, SM City General Santos is conducting this weekend, starting today, August 26, 2016, one of the biggest gathering of online gamers, cosplayers, Pokemon Go addicts, VR enthusiasts and like-minded generals ever.  Guys, make way for the Mindanao Games Expo (MGX).

Running for three days (August 26-28, 2016), Mindanao Games Expo offers for the first time, Virtual Reality experience for attendees and eyeballs for the world’s latest hype, Pokemon, other than Cosplay competitions and latest online games battles and exhibition matches (DOTA 2, Special Force, Zone 4, etc).  There is even a Toy Fair! According to its organizers, the main goal of Mindanao Games Expo is to build and encourage connection and camaraderie among all of the gamers/tech communities of the region in order to create a more positive impact and edge in terms of innovation and high level performance in the gaming industry.

In the end, they are looking forward to level up the gaming and cosplay scene in the SoCCSkSarGen Region as well as spread the “responsible gaming revolution”.  It’s basically teaching gamers about social responsibility as individuals as well as encouraging them to practice “responsible gaming”.
