I recently got word from Robinsons Place GenSan that finally, the Consular Office of the Department of Foreign Affairs will open inside their mall!
We first blogged about this last year (READ: DFA TO TRANSFER TO ROBINSONS) and now, after months and months of delay, through Robinsons’ LINGKOD PINOY Program, DFA GenSan will start serving the public on Monday, September 3, 2012.
The new DFA office will operate from Mondays to Fridays except holidays and will be open from 9:30am to 6:30pm.
While waiting for their passports to be released, applicants may watch a movie at Robinsons Movieworld right beside the office, check out any of the stores inside the mall or eat at the restaurants at the Al Fresco strip. They may also check out the merchandise at Robinsons Department Store or go grocery shopping at the Supermarket.
How’s that for convenience?

Ask ko lng poh f until now sa Robinson pa rin ba ofis ng dfa?plan ko po sana mag renew passport by nextwik..ty
@emy, yes, DFA is still there, Mondays to Fridays.
@q: POEA-OWWA located at the back of Koronadal Capitol. around 1,500 meters from the main road left side. the sign board is visible. I would suggest that you process your Philhealth & Pag-ibig payments first in Gensan as it is required for the issuance of “OEC” Overseas Employment Contract Balik Manggagawa which can be obtained only @ the Satellite Office in Koronadal. BTW, PhilHealth payment is now P1,200 instead of P900.
Good Luck.
Khalid.
@Khalid, you have been very helpful. Thanks a lot. 😀
@Khalid, where in Koronadal is the POEA office? I went to the official site but the koronadal office was not listed there. I only saw the one in Davao. I need to get my OECertificate soon.
Thanks.
HI,nag authenticate or red ribbon ba kayo ng birthcertificate na galing sa NSO? Please let me know its really urgent, thank you for the information.
oo nga po available ba dito satin appointment system??
Hi! Is the online appointment system also applicable for DFA Gensan? If it is, what is the website? Thanks.
Ur Welcome Mr. Bariles.”Ahlan Wa Salan”
@ Chris,
No need to go to Davao for your requirement of the balik manggagawa certificate or OEC (overseas employment contract)meron na po sa Marbel as our Regional Center. yearly ako kumukuha ng oec sa Marbel. madali lang menos gastos at wala pang hassle.try to log in @ poea.gov.ph
@Khalid, thanks for the update. Welcome back! 🙂
Bring POEA Branch to Gensan. Yan na lang ang kulang kasi nagpupunta pa kami ng Davao ang hirap mag byahe ka pa tapos nakakapagod at kulang na araw namin sa bakasyon.
@chris, great idea! About time na magkaroon tayo ng POEA office dito. Hope PNoy’s men look into this matter. 🙂
Being inside an airconditioned mall, the DFA’s decision to relocate their office in ROBINSONS General Santos City is highly appreciated! It gives the feeling that they care and respect the people who queue in long lines to apply for or renew their passports. No more “pawis” and “nakakabagot” waiting time because applicants can while away their time inside the mall. They can multi-task as well: do their grocery or surf the net (there’s free wi-fi inside ROB) while waiting for their turn. Thanks DFA!
That’s a great marketing strategy by Robs! Dami nga namang masasayang na oras for waiting.
