Sun Life 5150 Triathlon Bohol 2025 Breaks Records in Tropical Island Comeback

Panglao, Bohol – July 14, 2025 – The Sun Life 5150 Triathlon Bohol and Sunrise Sprint made a powerful return over the weekend, drawing over 850 participants to the scenic shores of The Bellevue Resort, Panglao. Surpassing last year’s turnout, this edition officially becomes the largest 5150-distance triathlon in the Philippines to date.

Held from July 11 to 13, the three-day sporting event marked the official start of the 5150 season under Sunrise Events Philippines, and was a highlight of Bohol’s vibrant Sandugo Festival celebrations.

Set against a backdrop of white sand beaches and azure waters, the Olympic-distance 5150 race challenged athletes with a 1.5km swim, 40km bike, and 10km run, while the Sunrise Sprint welcomed new and seasoned racers to a shorter 750m swim, 20km bike, and 5km run.

Participants competed individually or as part of relay teams, embracing not just the challenge of the course, but also the camaraderie and vibrant island atmosphere the event has become known for.

This year’s edition also introduced the Bagong Bayani Category, a special race classification recognizing Filipino endurance athletes who have proudly represented the country on the national or international stage. The fastest male and female finishers each received ?10,000 in cash, acknowledging their dedication and legacy in Philippine sports.
