[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he SM Foundation is now accepting college scholarship applications for school year 2018-2019.

Applications will be coursed through an online system through the education page of the SM Foundation website.

SM Foundation Scholarship

Public high school graduates and private high school graduates (with DepEd voucher after completing Grade 10 from public schools) are eligible to apply.

The scholarship covers key areas of the country and there are over 30 partner schools in Vis/Min: Capiz, Cebu, Iloilo, Leyte, Negro Occidental, Agusan del Norte, Davao del Sur, Misamis Oriental, South Cotabato, and Zamboanga del Sur.

A grade requirement of at least 88 percent by the second or third grading period of fourth year or grade 12 qualifies applicants.

To accommodate deserving students, the scholarship requires that the total household income of the applicant must not exceed P150,000 per year.

SM Foundation scholars enjoy their choice of specialization in accounting, information technology, engineering and education. The scholarship covers full tuition. The scholars also receive monthly allowances and part-time job opportunities during semestral and Christmas breaks.

Upon graduation of the scholars, they receive exclusive job offers with the SM group and engage in other fun-filled activities and enrichment programs throughout.

Fueled by Henry Sy, Sr.’s belief in education–that it is the best defense against poverty–the SM Foundation provides college and technical-vocational scholarship grants as well as access to primary education through school buildings to help the youth achieve their dreams.

Application period is from October 15 to December 31, 2017.
