@Ronald Velasquez – thanks very much, looking forward to working with you

Galing Mr. Adrian. Sana Mr/ms. COmmercialMaker is more like you.hehe. if he intends to help…maayos..kahit me negative…no prob. mas maganda nga dahil makakatulong…
Go generals! more initiatives such as this (to the organizing committee)!
@adrian oblige – that was the most unbiased comment i’ve read by far. thanks adrian. magandang gensan!

@Toinks – good point!
Oh well, to mr/ms commercialMaker who ever you are.. we the Generals do appreciate your help or shall I say your intentions to impart your expertise in graphic design and animation. However the way you induce us to realize that we are yet far from the bests in the world is quite inappropriate. We certainly know where we stand as far as graphic designs and animation is concern but I think that we are already in the right track and were getting there sooner or later. The outcome of the competition isn’t at all bad nor very good just for a start. In the first place, we are not in anyway soliciting any thoughts or ideas coming from you and most importantly we do not even know who you are and where the hell you came from.
I hope you realize your shortcomings too. You are still welcome here. Generals for sure do not hold grudge. 🙂 Have a nice day!
HEAR! HEAR! sir!
@Kritiko -welcome kayong sumali sa team, gagawa tayo ng gensan team para sa lahat ng gustong matuto at sumali sa unang batch ng animators ng gensan. @adrian oblige –
sakto sir.
@dimple- ala na,mingaw na.

***relevance— all the details in this poster is related to each other, a mayor in green barong depicting continuous growth, a dove giving hope and freedom, festival director leading people to celebrate and promote gensan’s cultural heritage, the tribal folks in colorful and proud traditional attires… its a perfect picture of an unfolding gensan.
if only i have a degree on computer graphics, i would add digital difficulty as a criterion, but i’m not. but hey… i deem it not necessary.
these are the points i would choose grease entry if i were a judge of the latter competition.
this is my punto por punto… from a non-professional point of view
mabuhay!
i knew it! the first time i saw the RMMC entry before the winner was announced, i saw a very good, let me rephrase, great potential on the entry. i cannot disregard the fact that this is an amateur competition… as “milo” slogan goes, “big things come from small beginning!”. and this is a grand beginning!
for the technical aspect, i used to work for former “panagbenga festival 1998-1999” now known as “baguio flower festival” as a secretariat under the supervision of atty. damaso bangaoet, and on the same year it was accredited as one of the national festivals of the philippines inline with sinulog and the like. and one of my directions was the “poster and banner making contest” sponsored then by Boysen Paints which was held in burnham park. with this brief background (it may not be as big as disney productions or pixar) i would like to share the points i used to judge an entry poster… minus the digital graphics material as we only used paints by then. i’ll try to make them short…
***creativity and presentation— GREASE entry presented a sarimanok ethnic design, famous for its colorful blend of scroll, feathers and spiral motifs. this is a true eye-catcher, after all posters are made to catch attention. in addition to creativity aspect, they animated real people in different attires representing not only gensan but mindanao. the objective presentation for this poster should be “FESTIVE”… and it is! kuhang-kuha!
***originality— the idea of animating, real people with other avatars garnered a major point. not predictable! plus the fact that you expanded more on the sarimanok design, is original and authentic. if “baguio flower festival” has flowers as motives and “sinulog” has a mardi gras aka celebrating sto. nino, we have our very own legendary sarimanok, an ubiquitous symbol of mindanao. the personalities animated might spark political controversies, or simply controversies, but this has a high mark on my next criterion, “relevance”.
*** relevance— the mayor depicted on this poster is very relevant to the them i celebrating

we know that we all hav are own tasTes… and we resPect your CritiCisms mr/ms cOmmercialMaker… its a fact that the winning team still needs improvements on their works… and its still a fact that you need improvements on your attitude…

DOES my CRITICISM HARM YOU? or are you GUILTY ENOUGH?
@genview ,@carlvinson ,@Toinks , @orman
do you have a poor intellectual capacity?
you, me, carlvinson ,and Toinks were his target questioning our “poor intellectual capacity” kaw talaga sir orms. di mo binasa ng maayos.
