Cebu City, Philippines – As the country ushered in the close of Women’s Month, NUSTAR Resort Cebu successfully marked March 2024 with a month-long celebration honoring the strength, beauty, and resilience of women through art and cuisine. The event series at The Mall | NUSTAR, which concluded on March 31, 2025, provided a meaningful platform for expression, recognition, and celebration of womanhood in all its forms.

One of the highlights was “In Her Voice,” a compelling solo exhibition by Cebuano artist Jef Albea, which ran until March 23, 2024 at Level 1. The collection featured evocative portraits of women that told stories of courage, vulnerability, and empowerment. Known for his emotional and humanistic style, Albea’s work resonated with many guests who visited the exhibit throughout its run.

“‘In Her Voice’ is a powerful tribute to the diverse strength, beauty, and resilience of women,” Albea noted during the opening. “It’s a salute to the voices that have shaped our world and the ongoing journey toward empowerment.”

Following Albea’s exhibit, the group show “ANG PANIMALAY” by the Friday Group Sessionistas continued to draw art lovers until its closing on March 31, 2025. Held at Level 2 of The Mall | NUSTAR, the exhibit featured works by 17 female artists including Tina Marie Gandionco, Michiko Nina, Chauncey Ferolino, and Abiguil Barricuatro. Through paintings, mixed media, and installations, the exhibit highlighted the essential roles of women in nurturing homes, fostering community, and shaping society.

Beyond the visual arts, NUSTAR elevated the Women’s Month experience with exclusive dining offers. The Fili Lobby Lounge launched its Cocktail Soiree on March 1, 2024, with daily rotating signature cocktails from 6:00 PM onwards, an ongoing offer available until June 31, 2025. Over at Il Primo, diners indulged in an unlimited pizza promo priced at PHP 850 nett per person, offered daily from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, continuing through May 30, 2025.
