CoWorking Space – Coworking is a style of work that involves a shared working environment, often an office, and independent activity. Unlike in a typical office environment, those coworking are usually not employed by the same organization.  This shared environment is then called a “Coworking Space“. (Source: Wikipedia)

In General Santos City, the first coworking space is about to open its doors on October 6, 2014.  And from the invite we got to its inauguration, it will be known simply as Hub88.

We are not sure if this is Mindanao’s first coworking space but hey, we’re practically happy that enterprising couple Mr. and Mrs. Mike Martinez invested in one here.

According to Mike, renting out a coworking space (whether you are a freelancer or not) is better than working daily in a coffee shop or renting out a conventional office space since it is practically cheaper.  Check out Hub88’s rates below and the perks that go along with them.

Interested parties can choose among the monthly membership rate of P5000, 10-day or -day passes and a day pass and use their amenities like your own space (table), conference space, printing station, fast internet, mail receiving/forwarding, complimentary coffee, tea or water, use of pantry and even a skype room.

Still undecided between frequenting a coffee shop and renting a space at Hub88?  Then here’s their infographic to help you out…
