“Build that Geek” is a blog written by another “general” (as people from Gen. Santos City are called) like me. The similarity stops there however because this guy is only a 4th year high school student(!).
I first met 16-year old Conrad Miguel Espinosa Gozalo at the 1st Soccsksargen Blog Seminar in Koronadal in January where he tagged along with Davao-based blogger-speaker Ria Jose. Being a new blogger, I didn’t know then that this playful, gregarious and funny kid before me is the “famous” writer/developer of one of the better-designed and better-written blogs in the Philippine blogosphere.
Having been exposed to young people his age who are more into Friendster stuff, it was a pleasant & welcome surprise to find out that right in our midst are brilliant young bloggers out there like “Mikko” (as he is called).
Thus began my earnest search for more “local youth bloggers” out there knowing that they could more or less help prop up Soccsksargen’s (South & North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, GenSan City) image as not just of bombers, boxers, and bandits. They may not be many at this point but I know they will soon multiply just like the ubiquitous imelda flowers you see around the bare fields of GenSan.
By the way, “Build That Geek” made “Bariles Republic” its FEATURED BLOG OF THE WEEK, as evidenced by this screen capture below. (Hehehe!)
nice… keep it up MIKO…
Miko is truly a great, talented, young kid. . . it’s because of his featuring bariles republic in his website, i came to realize that bariles republic is creating waves sa blogsphere. . . and the rest is history – avid fan na rin ko ng bariles rep next to build that geek.
Ang galing ng batang to!
you’re welcome mikko. wherever you will be, dont forget to write about your birthplace.
Thanks for featuring me. Nakakaflutter naman itong post na ito. 😀
