Scouring through the pageviews and comments that my posts have garnered over the past few months, I have noticed that my article about Robinsons Gen. Santos tops it all when it comes to the # of readers and responses.
As of this writing, this post which came out two months ago on June 20, 2008 has already been visited 1,634 times and has received 147 comments. Whew!
I never realized how very much welcome this development is to the people of GenSan, who make up bulk of my readers until faced with these data. And judging from the latest comments, they are hungry for more news updates about what should be the biggest mall in GenSan next year (before SM GenSan opens its doors a year later perhaps?).
And so, I tried to pull some strings, sent out a few email and got what I wanted – Robinsons’s artist’s rendition of how the Robinsons General Santos would look. Here it is, faithful readers: (click on the image for a larger view)

nabalitaan ko about s robinson n bagsik daw..it almost 4 years n wala ko kbalik s gensan dito p rin s ibang bansa..see you robinson year 2010 im coming home GENSAN
Good website to stay in touch with Gensan happenings. We have a house in gensan but we live in California. We visit the place at least every year. It was a good move for us to get a place in Gensan.I witness all the developments going on there. I hope the city will not make the mistake of growing too fast. I hope that the city government implements proper zoning, develop infrastructure and conduct outreach programs.
Someone mentioned here in site that tourists don’t have anything to do in Gensan. That’s not just the truth, it’s a fact.Yes first priority comes first. You attract investors and let them stay. Then attract tourists to add to the revenue. As far as I am concerned, the place is not ready for tourists-big time. Remember if you have tourist and they had bad impression of the place, regadless how tiny the reason, the word flies as fast as you can imagine and there would be no repeats. They will not come back.
So if the city is ready for the toursist, make sure you have everything in place-security, infrastructure, natural sites(not those developed into commercial business)and the people.
The list is long. But Gensan can do it.
[…] spotted Queenie’s richest Ninang and the lady to whom the soon-to-open Robinsons Place GenSan is named after, the simply elegant and gracious Robina Gokongwei-Pe. I engaged her to a small […]
hala nag iba lagi tung avatar namon????
(joke)
kuya magiging mall ba ang ace i think expansion pa lang.
@jan, hello. Whether it’s turning into a mall or just an expansion, it should be something to look forward to in Koronadal, don’t you agree? And with the news that Gaisano is also coming in, that would even be greater news. Let’s just wait for these developments. Meanwhile, you call always go down to GenSan…. 🙂
I heard Gaisano Citimall is building a new mall in Marbel. That’s good news indeed. next level na. 😉
kuya ano po ba ang ace mall?? SM mall parin yan??
Thanks for commenting here. 🙂

@bariles – you have a point there Mr. Avel…kelangan din tlg ng participation from the Generals! hehe 🙂
good day!!
concern lang about our city..
dati year 90’s i remember booming talaga ang gensan.
maraming taxi at daming oportunidad.
at priority noon is relocation ng urban poor..
Sana naman i develop nila yung rivers and parks natin..
ang pangit eh
or kahit linisin lang man.
that’s all
salamat
