2017 Valentine’s Day Guide to the Best Restaurants in Gensan

I am sure you are starting to plan your dates with your loved ones and/or families for Valentine’s Day, February 14.  As with the past year’s celebrations, although not a public holiday, the 14th Day of February has always been considered as a red letter day for Filipinos.  Restaurants, hotels, bars and other establishments usually come up with marketing promos and gimmicks to lure in lovers, partners, sometimes with their friends and most often, with their families. All roads certainly lead to these dining spots as it has become customary for people to show their love by celebrating via food, food and more food.

Here in General Santos City and in nearby places, as early as January 2017, we have been seeing on social media (notably Facebook), the various Valentine’s Day promotional posters of local establishments.  We are sharing them here and while not complete, try to check in regularly as we will be adding more and more.

Woodpeak (under new management) is spearheading TIBOK (Isang gabi ng Tula, Tawa, Tugtugan at Toma) on February 14th.  There will be Acoustic Performers, Standup Comedians from Davao and Spoken Word Poetry Performers.  Poets and poet-wanna-be’s are invited to share/read their poems on stage and if they do so, they will receive a free bottle of ice-cold San Mig.  Tickets are priced at P100 only.
