hi aries, iniiwasan namin na ulanin nanaman kami. nasasayang ang pagod and efforts namin each time bumabagsak ang ulan. sadly our oval stage although pinalaki is not user-friendly too. lagi pang nagko-conk out ang power especially when we need all those lights and sound — nabibitin ang audience. we did our miss gensan last year sa kcc convention and bodyfest sa gaisano. well-received sya – mabilis ang program, enjoy ang tao — wala pang hassle. this year, the two big events will be staged at the gaisano atrium…
Y S IT THAT MS. GENSAN PAGEANT AND BODYFEST FINALS R NOT 2 B HELD AT THE CITY OVAL STAGE?
hi honey! I agree 101% with you, First Daughter.
with regard sa mga banda, will have to get the list from the tuna fest organizers first. salamat bay.
This is the very reason why our Mayor is suggesting for businessmen to also look forward and invest in other types of businesses. We can not rely on the fishing industry alone because we have to admit that we and other countries have OVERFISHED the world’s tuna supply.
Anyway, the good news is, everyone’s doing their share to be more responsible in their catching processes. The TUNA CONGRESS is still held every Tuna Festival in Gensan where they discuss ways to solve these problems.
ok chill everyone. kuya orms! i salute you talaga and i totally agree with your last post. hello! sa mga reklamador, you really should just put a sock in it unless you have a better idea. problema talaga ng pinoy, arguing for the sake of arguing. wala namang patutunguhan. just come down for the events and support the city ok?! haha:D xpeacex
Good works guys, ayaw pataka ug panaway, its really hard to get sponsors and to lead a big event like tuna Festival.
I want to special mention JERMAINE, don’t “yak” the GMA shows, don’t you know that they are number one sa Luzon area? promdi ka kasi!!!!!
hai isa lng akong masulti ana, maskin knsa man mu cover ana, basta kay madayong tanan ng mga nka skedule na event LINGAW giahapon na.. dili man ang nagcover ang ga celebreate lgn kita man tanan taga gensan… hahahaha…
ai tama diay, kinsa man mga banda anang panahuna? hehe.. kang libre lng.. amping tanan mga taga gensan! i lab u ol.! haha.. tinuod na….
rj O_os last blog post..WAg po WAg PO!
i rest my case. it’s a waste of time talking to a blank wall. anyway, as a general, i do my own share in helping my city. my ideas may not sit well with everyone and i always make it a point that when issues raised merit attention then i (together with my team) try to do better the next time around. what pisses me off (and i believe most of the decent-thinking general) is when people rant and rave and do nothing constructive. criticism is welcome but please be prepared to take up the cudgels of responsibility when confronted. i love gensan. i am a proud general. and i can look anyone in the eye and say, i’ve done my share — doing my share and will continue to do my share for my city. have you? enough said.
hold your breath guys…………
Kung noong late ’90’s eh kapag somebody will ask me where Im from, then the first thing thats comes into their mind is “Tuna”–ang isdang kasing laki ng tao. But now, they would immediately associate Gensan with Manny Pacquiao. No offense meant to Mr. Pacquiao ha. He deserves naman the honor and we are indeed honored na kababayan natin sya. anyway back to the tuna industry, im hearing news before na pahina na nang pahina ang catch ng isda. Dagdag pa itong problema natin with our neighbor Indonesia dahil hindi na tayo pinapayagang mangisda sa lugar na sakop nila. Sana makarinig man lang tayo ng any good news para sa idustriya ng pangingisda like yong tinutulungan ang mga small time fishermen sa kanilang mga pangangailangan…Goverment assistance ba…
Tunapie, please go straight to the point and stop your pointless ranting. Orman, gensanite and blackmeat were asking about your suggestions. Why don’t you do that? You have better ideas?
As owner and moderator of this blog, I would suggest that after writing our own negative comments, then we should come up with our suggestions.
We are all generals here and I would expect you Tunapie to write more sensibly and judiciously and answer the reactions up front that your “throwing not so good comments and finding faults” (your words) have merited.
I hope that clears things up Tunapie.
Your comments are still up there, answered by Orman.
Thank you.
@orman –
hehehe… that’s what KUYA AVEL told me… i’m just putting in my ‘two cents’ in this potpourri…
let’s have coffee when i get home…
cheers!!! 🙂
@orman –
Its seems you take my review a descructive one.Come on! take this instead a tool for improvement.Yes I watched most of the events that’s why I knew that most of the activities are repetition. No need to reveal my identity. This is how I view things here Incognito! In blogging rude comments? part and parcel yan! boring ang site if purely good comments ang makikita.Same also with events expected you can hear myriad of comments.Bodyfest! really need improvement.Parang may kulANG! ANG KULANG?Its up to them to think! Kaya nga sila yong kinuha Because for them to think harder!
I notice deleted yong recent comments ko.
Tunapie, you better enjoin yourself in helping the tuna festival organizers. I know you have bright ideas there, but not “totally working”. You better approach the organizers and sit down with them and help them work it out.
Two minds are better than one, right? But more minds working are always close to perfect..
For me that’s the basic way of thinking out of the box. Do the basics first before criticizing. God bless!
so what are you thinking about, good sir/madam? can we hear from you? what GOOD ACTIVITIES do you have in mind? what 21st century project do you think would be good for our city? enlighten us please. or let’s just put it this way – I CHALLENGE YOU TO COME OUT OF THE OPEN AND LET’S SIT DOWN AND DISCUSS YOUR IDEAS. and by the way, have you ever watched any of these events? and don’t give me that BULL about thinking out of the box — you’re in your own convenient CLOSET yourself! lumabas ka muna and discuss your issues without hiding in your ANONYMOUS CONVENIENT SELF.
WAKE UP Generals pls. 🙂
Malapit na ang tuna fest sa Gensan.. Grabe I missed it talaga. Sana this year maabutan kupa kaya lang bakasyon ko sa pinas sa sept 20 pa i guess tapos na?
Btw, thanks for leaving me a comment. I really like ur blog, very informative.. now, i save it to my fav. para madali kung mahanap whenever i want to read about news or updates in Gensan..Thanks talaga Sir.
have a nice day!
dezzs last blog post..How to pick the right Credit Card for you
gensanite, well said. Very well said. Instead of finding fault, let’s do our share to help enliven our city’s festivals. All of us are “generals” and we are all expected to prop up and not pull down the volunteers who work for the city. Anybody who begs to differ? Hehehe! 🙂
@orman –
no offense, TUNAPIE, but i agree with SIR ORMAN… instead of whining and complaining, the ‘generals’ should also take an active part in the festivities, and suggest/come up with other events/activities that can add color to the celebration… i know it’s not easy to come up and facilitate an event; with the tunafest, there’s gonna be a lot… i’m pretty sure the council/organizers have had their hands full for the past few weeks or probably months… it would be very good if we can join a committee and play a role in an event or organize a new gimmick for the festivities… 🙂
let’s enjoy the coming tunafest…
cheers!!!
just thinking out loud… 🙂
OMG!Bodyfest na pod! is it really a must have event every TunaFest?I hope by next year new set of events and activities naman nakakasawa na! its time to innovate! To the organizer please think harder to make this festival better one.
Hi Shen! Oo nga ano? I don’t have the mechanics ng Popstar Kids. Hope to get one to upload here. 🙂
Orman is now considering ONLINE VOTING for Ms. GenSan using this website. Watch out for it! Thanks for the suggestion ARIES. 🙂
kuya avel can post the pictures once we choose the official candidates. as for the online voting, we can look into the possibility but right now, the best manner for the public to choose their pick is via TEXT VOTING. however, text voting will only be available for MISS GENSAN.
kasi may nakalagy po sa schedule niyo gensan popstar kids parish center 7 pm, oo nga bakit sila diba dapat tuna?
HEHEHE.
UNTA IPAKITA POD DRE ONLINE ANG PICTURES SA MGA ASPIRING MODELS.
OG UNTA, NAA POD ONLINE VOTING PRA MY PARTICIPATION POD AND MGA NTERNET ENTHUSIAST S PAGPILI KUNG KINSAY MODAUG. SUGGESTION LANG NI.
Hi Glen! Yeah, I agree too. Competition brings out the best in everyone, especially TV stations. Saw you on Channel 28 where the Yaman Awards are being shown daily. You’re at your best elements while emceeing that prestigious affair. Congrats! 🙂
oo nga tama ka!glengonz rock on
hi vel,
i’m not sure kung included ang winning poster ng print factory during the presentation when we had the first meeting.. anyway highway…. there were better posters that were introduced, but i respect the decision of the BOJ. gma kapuso ang official carrier? bongga! free man kaya? much better talaga pag may competition….
Ok fine…Good luck & have fun
parang may hindi maganda sa poster…hmmm? maybe sa treatment ng “General Santos City” na nasa upper left nito…at medyo kulang sa harmony ang pagkaka layout…and whats with the dots on the children’s face all about? hehehe
contest pla sa poster bat di ako na inform and the whole gensan… daya cla cla lng kaya di minsan napapamalas ang galing ng generals ge kayo nlng parati……XD…
i’m comin’ home!!! 😀
the items you mentioned are all regarding bodyfest. the only change there is that the august 16 screening in gaisano davao had to be cancelled due to the existing local ordinance disallowing events like bodyfest in davao city. the august 24 screening in gensan will push thru at gaisano gensan. the presentation of official candidates of both miss gensan and bodyfest will happen on september 1 during the opening ceremonies of the culinary expo. anyway for concerns, you can call me at 552-8803.
Hello anonymouse! You’re trying to be funny ha? Careful…. 🙂 🙂
abs-cbn called me kahapon… they’re offering to air LIVE all the activities in gaisano – culinary, miss gensan, bodyfest and fishdance. i hope matuloy nga… biglang sosyalan ang dating! hehehe!
the finals of the bodyfest modeling competition will be on sept 3, back-to-back with the finals of fishdance mindanao showdown…
Kasi last year anak nya ang nasa poster.
may balak ba ang city hall na palitan ang pangalan ng festival from tunafest to haw-fest kasi parang ang daming haw-related activities gaya ng badminton sa mr bigshot?
may plano bang tumakbo si haw sa 2010?
Ajejejeje…
Shen!!! Joker ka tlaga! You made my day! Mga models lang ang mga iyan. Pampaganda ng poster. Mga cute nga di ba? POPSTAR KIDS? Hahaha! 🙂 😮
hI jERMAine, mas mabilis mag-marketing ang GMA siguro kaya sila naging media partner. Pero am sure, di pahuhuli ang KAPAMILYA. From what I heard, they will air the OPENING & CLOSING Ceremonies LIVE over Channel 28 and will feature updates on Magandang Umaga Socsargen all throughout the duration of the Tuna Festival…. just like what they did to the KALILANGAN last February.
Masaya ka na? 🙂
Hi Samara and Kritiko! Actually, Print Factory won the poster design contest for the Tuna fest sponsored by the Tuna fest Council headed by Bebot Haw. Yan ang napili nyang design. Mukha ngang KAPUSO no? HAHAHAHA! 🙂
