According to a reliable source, SM Savemore Market General Santos which is currently undergoing construction at the J & G Propriedad Compound along Nunez Street in Purok Malakas, Barangay San Isidro, will definitely open this month of January February 2014.

Last year, it was rumored that this latest foray of SM in General Santos, after its SM City in downtown Santiago Boulevard opened, would be their first SM Hypermarket and would cater to the mushrooming population of Barangay San Isidro which has been seeing the proliferation of low cost and mid-income subdivisions.

Finally, however, after much study and research, SM decided that an SM Savemore Market would better suit the neighborhood.

THIS IS THE BUILDING OF SM SAVEMORE GENSAN WHICH OCCUPIES THE BACK LOT OF J&G PROPRIEDAD ALONG NUNEZ STREET.

SM Savemore Market General Santos will be like a standalone SM Supermarket and will contain more or less, the same merchandise.  As early as now, people in my barangay (yes, this is where I live) are excited for its opening, reportedly on January 31st February 11, as it would mean time and money saved for their grocery shopping.
