The monastery offers retreats and live-in religious seminars for groups and opens its chapel doors to the public every Sunday for their 10:00 AM Mass. Their picnic area and new facilities (bigger souvenir shop, Adoration Chapel, Viewing Deck, etc) are also available to their visitors.
As a follow-up to that article and with the Holy Week upon us, we are sharing to our readers their Lenten Mass Schedues leading to Easter Sunday.
From above’s photo of the Easter Triduum, here is the Holy Week Mass Schedules of the Our Lady of Mt. Matutum Chapel…
- HOLY THURSDAY
- 4:00 PM – Mass of the Lord’s Supper
- GOOD FRIDAY
- 3:00 PM – The Lord’s Passion
- BLACK SATURDAY
- 10:40 PM – Easter Vigil
- EASTER SUNDAY
- 10:00 AM – Easter Mass
The Catholic faitfhful could also perform the Way of the Cross at the Monastery’s 14 Stations of the Cross sprawled along their grassy grounds.
This is a good alternative for those seeking a more serene and closer-to-nature way of fulfilling their lenten obligations.
