Five Specialized Units, One Mission

The Critical Care Complex brings together five highly specialized units, designed to provide advanced treatment in the most critical situations:

  • Intensive Care Unit (ICU): 11 state-of-the-art beds equipped with the latest monitoring and life-support systems.
  • Pediatric ICU (PICU): 5 beds for children in critical condition, with facilities that balance advanced care with family-centered support.
  • Neonatal ICU (NICU): Specialized equipment and dedicated staff to care for premature and high-risk newborns.
  • Coronary Care Unit (CCU): 3 beds focused on cardiac emergencies, backed by St. Elizabeth’s Cath Lab and Open-Heart Surgery program—the only one in Region 12.
  • Surgical ICU (SICU): 2 beds for enhanced recovery and close monitoring of patients after major surgeries.

St. Elizabeth Hospital is also PhilHealth Z Benefit–accredited for Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) and remains the only hospital in the Philippines accredited for Valvular Heart Disease treatment.

The event underscored St. Elizabeth Hospital’s role as a pioneer in advanced medical care for the region, ensuring that Generals and nearby provinces have access to top-tier, world-class treatment.

A Commitment to the Community

“This facility is more than just a renovation; it is a bold statement of our commitment to our community,” said Antonio G. Veneracion, CEO of St. Elizabeth Hospital.
