The old Dunkin’ Donuts outlet and commissary at Santiago Boulevard-GenSan finally closed down its doors when its contract with its landlord expired effective September 30, 2010.

The landlord, the Salazar Family turned over the property to their new lessee, the SM Group who will start construction of GenSan’s first SM Mall there to be known as SM CITY GenSan.

Dunkin’ Donuts did not go very far though.  It just moved to a bigger location right across the street.

The new Dunkin’ Donuts Santiago is bigger and can comfortably seat more than a hundred people at one time.

There’s an exclusive section for small functions separated from the main dining area with a low divider.

The new 24-hour outlet of the country’s #1 donut brand also has a corner nook with a built-in table and stools for those who prefer to eat alone. All in all, everything is newly built and all the equipment and facilities are also new.

With Dunkin’ Donuts out of the way, something big immediately happened at the 6-hectare compound where its old branch used to be located…. something grand actually, courtesy of SM City of course

Watch out for the preceding blog post for that. Soon!
